These pieces are the kind of work that never goes on a reel. But it’s the kind I like to do.
Most of these videos were made in the last few years, many in the last six months, and they were all created for the web.

Be the first on your block to watch them. Don’t go in order.

Inner City Trenton

The Mount Carmel Guild is a small, Catholic non-profit that struggles to give emergency assistance to many desperately poor people. This recent (October of 2008) fundraising film shows a side of New Jersey that you might not have seen before.

David Ansill

The purpose of this assignment was to make a portrait of a Philly restaurateur for consideration in a cable TV cooking show. I shot for an hour and edited for about 4 to create this 4 minute documentary.

Meet Harry B

A brief history of Hawaiian music through the eyes of Harry B. Soria, the prominent Honolulu DJ and expert. 3:30 TRT. Pilot for longer doc.

Hawaiian Steel Great

Eddie Palama has played the nightclubs of Waikiki for 40 years. This is a short film based on a 2007 interview in his home on the Windward side of Oahu. 4 minutes.

Nightclub Surprise

A short look at an evening in an expensive Honolulu nightclub. A birthday celebrant comes out of the audience and creates a memorable performance. 3 minutes

The World of Interviews

It’s amazing how many interviews there are. Why do we do them?

Cape Verde

A personal and observational travel video. 20 minutes. Found a home on YouTube, and it's a favorite of the US Cape Verdean community.

Doctors Don’t Always Get Along

These little dramas were done quickly to make a point for a bunch of medical residents. They are paid off with a short documentary that shows a better way. Sounds like an old-fashioned industrial film, but it ain't.

J'etais au bal (I Went to the Dance)

This is not a video, but I didn't know where else to put it. This is work my wife Fay and I did 35 years ago, then put it on the web a couple years ago. It's a documentary project we did when we were just out of college, and it explored the music and culture of French Louisiana.
