This film took me a year to make — first a scout to the Mohave Desert to meet the circus, then a shoot in northeast Iowa, then several months convincing a National Geographic editor that there was something great here. It's the story of a little eight-person tent circus called the Culpeper & Merriweather. The film ended up playing for several years on National Geographic Explorer and on airplanes around the world.
Above is a 1:45 clip of the 20-minute film.
